Athlete Development Program
Small-Group Training for Student Athletes Ready to Grow
An athlete-led development experience for middle and high school athletes looking to build strength, confidence, and long-term athletic capacity without losing sight of school, balance, or love of sport.
📍 Mount Pleasant, SC
🗓 Next cohort begins early March
👥 Limited to 4–6 athletes per cohort
What This Program Is (and What It Isn’t)
The Averett Academy Athlete Development Program is not a high-volume camp, a generic strength class, or a one-size-fits-all training block.
It’s a small, intentional cohort experience designed to meet student athletes where they are and help them move forward with purpose.

What Training Includes
Each cohort follows a structured progression focused on:
Strength Development: Building a strong, resilient foundation that supports sport-specific demands and reduces injury risk.
Speed & Agility: Improving acceleration, deceleration, change of direction, and overall athletic movement quality.
Vertical & Power: Intentional power training using athlete-specific tools, including VertiMax, to develop explosiveness safely and effectively.
Sport-Specific Considerations: Programming is adapted based on the sports represented in each cohort — not run as a generic circuit.
Baseline Testing & Progress Tracking: Athletes complete baseline assessments at the start of the program and receive progress feedback throughout the cohort.
Athlete-Led Philosophy
We’re not business people who decided to train athletes.
We were student athletes ourselves.
Serious ones.
We understand:
performance pressure
balancing sport and school
learning how your body works
navigating parents, coaches, and expectations
staying healthy without burning out
This program is built from lived experience and exercise science.
More Than Training: Guest-Led Education & Support
Athletic development doesn’t happen in isolation. Throughout the cohort, athletes (and parents, where appropriate) will have access to guest-led workshops designed to support the whole athlete.
Planned guest speakers include:
Athlete Nutrition Coach
Sports Chiropractor
Endurance Coach
Physical Therapist
Work/Life Integration Specialist
These sessions are practical, athlete-relevant, and grounded in real-world application to support wholistic development of the student within and outside of their season.
Next Step: Request a Consultation
Because this is a cohort-based program, we start with a brief consultation to ensure it’s the right fit for both the athlete and the group.
